Maintenance


 


1.At first,the operator should wear a pair of glove because the sweat,grease and other things will pollute the chamber and metal parts of the bass drum.


2.Then, he will dismantle the clamping ring and skin.


3.Use a piece of dry cloth to wipe the inner and outer sides of the clamping ring.Then wipe te internal and external surfaces and edges of clamber with great care.Since the edges are in contact with the metal ring of the skin and are exposed to great pressure form the clamping ring, they will suffer from abrasion and consumption.In such a case, the edges will have wood powder,so they should be carefully cleaned checked whether there is any crack or whether the interlayer is tackless or not.


4.Then wipe snare switch and other metal hardware. Dust in the dead corner of the snare which should be cleaned away with the soft hair brush.After that,the snare switch will be provided with the lubricating fluid to prevent rust and keep the flexibility.


5.As the soon as the above work is done,the chamber material by use of the guitar or piano dedicated cleaning agent and maintenance agent with the dry cloth.This kind of professional maintenance agent is capable of rinsing stubborn stains while not harming the chamber material or reacting chemically with the painted surface.


6.The inside and outside of the clamping ring should be carefully wiped.
